OVERVIEW. WLN’s ninth annual “TAKE THE OFFENSIVE!” Leadership Conference and Expo will take place on Saturday, February 2nd, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Lake Oswego. Conference package includes access to all breakout sessions, general assemblies with featured speakers, a quality lunch buffet lunch from the Crowne Plaza’s award winning restaurant, and free admission to all receptions. WLN’s conferences are traditionally the premiere training event of the year for activists and activist group leaders working to advance the principles of limited government. AVAILABLE TRAINING. Twenty classes will be offered throughout the day organized along four tracks of instruction:
1) How to be an Effective Citizen Lobbyist
2) How to Get Elected to Local Office
3) Defeating Liberal Tactics to Silence Free Speech
4) Secrets Behind How to Run Winning Campaigns
Attendees can mix and match classes from any track they like through the day. These courses will provide activists and activist group leaders with practical tools they can use to be successful in the coming year and beyond! Those leading training sessions through the day include author radio personality, and legislative aide Scott Jorgensen, Mult. county activist Bruce Broussard, political consultant Rebecca Tweed, Exec. ADDITIONAL EVENTS. At 7PM on Friday night February 1st, the night before the conference, there will be a reception/mixer open to anyone. There will be hot appetizers, a no-host bar, and good company among supporters of limited government principles. John Tamny, FreedomWork’s Director for the Center for Economic Freedom will speak at the reception. Just after the conference on Saturday, there will be a short reception with featured speaker Katherine “Kat” Timpf of Fox News.
